Boulmer - Stronger Shores

At Boulmer, there are extensive and mature kelp beds. Because of this, it provides a great opportunity to improve understanding of the biodiversity benefits of these habitats.

Stronger Shores funding will support PhD students from Newcastle University to monitor the kelp here, and to explore the importance of kelp for coastal protection.
