Become a climate scientist

This event will have a short introductory talk about Stronger Shores followed by 2x chemistry experiments looking at Carbon Dioxide and pH, using pH indicators, and an experiment looking at the uses of kelp, with a fun ‘bioplastic’ experiment that uses sodium alginate (kelp). Finally, take some time to explore our wave tank and our specimens, to discover how our project is working to protect our coasts. Participants do not need anything, safety materials (goggles) will be provided on the day, children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

You can find out more here.

This session will be delivered by Durham Wildlife Trust.
